First Annual "Nine & Dine" Chaparral Firebird Baseball Golf Tournament
By now, you already know of the fun had by all at the Chaparral Diamond Backers golf tournament on November 5.
What you may not know is how close we are to building our bleachers as a result of the tournament's success.
Thanks to our sponsors, participants and auction donors, we collected more than $40K, yielding the Boosters nearly $30K. Tomorrow we will start our meetings with contractors to begin the quote/design/build phase of the bleacher project.

The Committee
Jennifer McKelvey, Chair
- Organized, drove the project, attracted special guests, and cultivating foundation donations
- Usual over achiever - disregarded the advice of many to keep the first event small!
- Responsible for working with donors to on high dollar auction prizes. Drove negotiations with Gainey Ranch Golf Club.
- Strategy for overall event, and responsible for obtaining tee sponsors

- Strategy, planning and auction prizes
Angela Peck
- Operational direction at the event. Ensured that all volunteers were in the right place at the right time making things run smoothly.
Adrian Gough
- Auction Operations - Packaging and Managing auction goods and receipts.
